It is true; diamonds are a girl’s best friend. They will stay with you forever and for always, strong and silent, and always willing to shine a little brighter for you on a bad day. 1. Bigger is better: big is in, small is out. Does this mean that in order to stay on top of fashion, one must take out a second mortgage? No! In 2011, it is important to mix and match jewelry, this means that fashion jewelry can do the big work, and a nice classic highlight from a diamond ring or pendant can add the all important finishing touches. Mixing and matching is very important this season, but there is no need to break the bank.
2. Reduce, reuse, recycle: okay, maybe not reduce, but the other two stand. Reuse old pieces, ones that you have forgotten about. Look in the back of your jewelry box and find some old favorites to mix with new ones. Recycle, visit your local thrift store and see what hidden gems they have found over the years. There is nothing better for the environment (or your wardrobe!) than the 3 Rs!
3. Own it! This season is all about you. Be confident in what you are wearing, because mixing and matching is in, the most important part is that you are comfortable in your array of colors, cuts and sizes. Confidence is the finishing touch to any outfit, and it is most important this season.
