Singing sensation Jewel is the host and judge on Bravos new reality competition, Platinum Hit. According to Billboard.com, Platinum Hit premiered May 30. Twelve unknown songwriters from multiple genres compete to win $100,000, a publishing deal with Sony, a recording deal with RCA/Jive and BMI Songwriters The Writing Camp.
In each episode of Platinum Hit, contestants receive a songwriting task. The judges select the best songs and teams are formed to perform the songs.
But Jewel is busy with much more than Platinum Hit she is also a new mom! On July 11, Jewel and her husband, professional bull rider Ty Murray, had a son, Kase Townes Murray. Kase is a special gift for the couple, who tried to get pregnant for two years.
